Estate Planning

Estate Planning

Passing on your wealth according to your wishes contributes to your meaningful legacy.

We partner with dozens of estate lawyers and work with clients to prioritize and execute appropriate strategies and legal documents to initiate wealth transfer as well as family and charitable giving plans.

Our Estate Planning Process

Estate planning may be the most overlooked aspect of a financial plan.

Our team is committed to helping our clients meet their wealth transfer goals. This includes discussions about estate and charitable planning options and determining who will be responsible for carrying out important decisions in the event of incapacity. In our process, we review applicable documents to help clients maximize the transfer of wealth, confirm fiduciary appointments, identify outdated provisions and determine if updates need to be made to reflect financial objectives.

We work closely with a client’s attorney to review estate documents and make sure their financial objectives are represented.

Questions To Consider

As you consider estate planning, think about the following:

  • Do I have a specific timeline that is required to complete estate planning?
  • Do I anticipate updating relevant documentation over time?
  • Is a revocable living trust right for my family? If so, who is needed to assist in funding assets to the trust?
